ProjectC build entry
What a week…
I honestly can't figure out where it all went south. We didn't start at the last minute, or at least it didn’t feel like we did. But here we are, submitting the project a whole week later than planned.
I’ll admit — I feel a bit disappointed. The game doesn’t quite match the vision I had in mind. Since last weekend, I’ve done basically nothing but work on this assignment. Literally — eat, sleep, Unity, repeat. And yet, somehow, it still doesn’t look like something that reflects that kind of effort.
Actually, thinking about it now — there was one major fire: an unresolved merge conflict that silently propagated through several commits. We didn’t catch it early, and when it finally blew up, it broke the game for both of us. We ended up spending half a day just trying to untangle the mess and get things running again. That definitely hurt our momentum.
Aside from that, it wasn’t any one big thing — just an endless stream of small issues: UI weirdness, canvas resizing problems, misaligned text, enemy behavior, XP logic, power-ups, camera transitions, scene loading… none of them were deal-breakers on their own, but together they chipped away at our time and energy.
I don’t even dare to estimate how many man-hours went into this project just in the past week. Whatever the number is, it’s probably higher than we ever planned for.
